Job Offer - Gardener at the Belgian Residence (12 hours/week)

The Consulate-General of Belgium in Jerusalem is looking for a part-time gardener for the Residence of the Consul-General (22 Balfour Street Jerusalem).

Working hours: 12h/week (3x4h)

Estimated start date: 01 April 2026.

    Job description:
    The employee ensures the maintenance of the gardens in order to offer a clean and pleasant external environment for the hosts and visitors as well as to enhance the image of Belgium with attention to the environment.

    Examples of tasks:
    Maintain lawns and plants (mowing, weeding, watering, etc.)
    Uproot/plant according to the season
    Prune shrubs
    Make sure that you have the right equipment and maintain it and inform the procurement manager if necessary

    Requirements:
    Be administratively permitted to perform paid work in Jerusalem.
    Good oral knowledge of English.
    Being pro-active and able to work independently.
    Discretion and loyalty.

    Will be considered as an asset during the selection procedure:
    Relevant work experience/professional training

    Contract: employment contract in accordance with local legislation for a duration of one year (potentially renewable)

    Working hours: 12h/week (3x4h)
